139 Altama Connecter #188
Brunswick, GA 31525

On Saturday October 1, Georgia Guide Dog Users will return to Atlanta to the Center for the Visually Impaired, 739 West Peachtree Street NW Atlanta. http://cviga.org/directions/index.shtml
We will be holding a meeting from 10:30 AM until 3:00 PM. Save the date and think about other guide dog users you know and invite them to attend.
Our morning session will be taken up with GGDU business, which will include elections of two directors to our GGDU board. Lunch will be at CVI followed by a dog massage practice class presented by Betsy Eggers, a puppy raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs.
Betsy is a retired Occupational Therapist who worked for over 22 years at Dekalb Medical Center. She currently works as a volunteer with refugees and is on the Board of the Global Village School, a full-time school for refugee teenaged girls in Decatur, Ga. Betsy is raising her third Southeastern puppy, Trooper. Her first pup, Calypso, is matched with a practicing physician in Florida. Her second, Harley, is currently being trained.
Since all the details for our October 1 meeting haven't been finalized, please contact President Marj Schneider for more information or questions about the event. 912-352-1415 or marjschneider@bellsouth.net
You are welcome to attend, whether you are a guide dog user or not. We encourage anyone with an interest in guide dogs to participate in our events.
